Linker Model
A Linker injects the value of one Stat (the Injector Stat) into another Stat (the target). It is re-applied on every update of the target, and the target also updates whenever the Injector Stat changes, so the two Stats stay linked.
To understand how injection works, see How Stat Values Are Evaluated.
Linker Models are attached with a Linker Definition (always on) or a Linker Effect (while the Effect lives).
Create › Power › Misc › Injector › Linker Types
| Linker | Does |
|---|---|
| Absolute Value | target = injector |
| Combine | target += / × (1 + ) / × injector (Flat / Rate / Multiplier) |
| Combine By Condition | combines a constant while a condition holds — blockers, gates |
| Limit | clamps the target with the injector as min or max |
| Eased Value | target × ease(injector / range) |
| Alter Modifiers | rewrites the target's Modifier values using the injector |
| Add Effect / Result Attribute Value By Condition | adds an attribute flag value while a condition holds |
| Multiplicative Reduction Transformer | turns stacked reductions into a remaining fraction that never reaches 0 |
| Insert Stat To SigSep Stat | inserts the injector Stat into a SigSep list |
| Merge SigSep Stats | inserts every inner Stat of a SigSep into another |
| Just Notify | changes nothing; makes the target update when the injector changes |
Example
Every point of Strength adds 2 Attack. A Linker Definition on Attack with a Combine Flat Linker, Injector Stat Strength, through an Alter adapter × 2:
Stat:
AttackDefault:
10Injectors:
LinkerDefinition_StrengthToAttackStrength = 3 → Attack reads 16. Raise Strength to 5 and Attack updates to 20 with no Effect on Attack.
