Intervener Effect
The Intervener Effect is the signed version of the Preprocess Intervener Effect Processor.
It triggers another Effect before the current Effect is applied, and can block it (Block Effect). The triggered Effect is configured according to the resolved IntervenerEffect_Signed Stat and executed using the IntervenerEffect_Signed Signature. Running before Contribution, it sees the raw incoming value — before modifiers, reflectors and armor.
Intervener Effects are evaluated separately for the Source Actor and the Target Actor.
The IntervenerEffect Stat is resolved as follows:
Base Stat (BS) Processors
- For the Target Actor, the IntervenerEffect Stat is obtained directly from the Target Stat's IntervenerEffect Relative Stat.
- For the Source Actor, the IntervenerEffect Stat is obtained from the Source Actor using the Stat Key referenced by the Target Stat's IntervenerEffect Relative Key.
The resolved Stat must be a IntervenerEffect_Signed Stat.
Variations
Ships as BS × Float Int. See the Processor naming scheme.
The Relative Stat can be any shape — one Processor reads all of them:
| Stat shape | Use case |
|---|---|
| Plain Stat | Retaliation — any incoming damage fires a counterattack before it lands, while incoming healing does not. |
| Source Separated | Nemesis — only damage from the marked enemy triggers it. |
| Signature Separated list | Mana Shield — only fire-signed damage triggers the drain; other damage passes. |
| Signature Separated list of Source Separated Stats | React only to the fire damage dealt by one specific enemy. |
| Suffix | Expects | Use case |
|---|---|---|
_Effector | Resolved on the Effector's Actor | A summoned totem carries the Intervener, so it fires wherever the totem is standing rather than wherever its owner is. |
