Orphans

Orphans lists the Power assets that nothing in your project references: a Stat no Container holds, an Effect no Pack or Stat uses, a Processor no Process Definition runs. They are usually left over from experiments, renames or deleted mechanics.

Open it from Tools → Power → Orphans, or right-click a folder and choose Assets → Power → Find Orphans to scan just that folder.

When to use it

  • Clean up after prototyping: the Effects and Stats from mechanics you dropped are still in the project.
  • Find wiring you forgot: a new Effect that shows up here isn't in any Pack or Stat yet, so it never runs.
  • Before shipping, to keep unused data out of the build.

How it decides

Folder limits which Power assets are checked. Empty: all of Assets. References are always searched in the whole project: every scene, prefab, Animator, material and Power asset is read for what it references directly.

OptionDoes
Include unused chainsAlso lists Power assets that only other orphans reference, for example the Key of an orphaned Stat. Off: only assets nothing references at all.
Ignore ResourcesAssets in Resources folders count as used, because Power loads them by path (id databases, World Settings). On by default.
Ignore premade packsPremade Relation and Asset Packs, and everything they hold, count as used. They are loaded from the Power Editor, not referenced. On by default.
Assets loaded by path or by code

An asset your own code loads by name or path (with Resources.Load, Addressables or a hard-coded path) has no reference, so it is listed even though you use it. Check the list before you delete.
