Text Spawner
Text Spawner feedback spawns floating numbers and words above the target: -12, Crit! 40, +5, Dodged. It is the Feedback family for damage numbers, heal numbers and status words.
Fields (Float / Int)
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Ignore Zeroes | Shows nothing when the applied value is 0 (a fully absorbed hit, a 0-damage tick). |
| Spawn Offset | World offset above the target. |
| Format | Number format of the value ("0", "0.0"). The sign is dropped (the style's color tells damage from healing) and whole numbers are shown without decimals. |
| Effect Styles | Target Stat Id → Positive Styles / Negative Styles (Result Attributes → style) + Fallback Positive Style / Fallback Negative Style. |
Text style
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Ignore | Shows nothing for this case. |
| Prefab | The TextMeshProUGUI prefab spawned. |
| Animation Style | How it moves (ScaleAndSlide, played by the matching FeedbackAnimator of the Text Spawn Controller). |
| Use Formater / Format | Wraps the number in a template: $P is replaced by the number — "Crit! $P", "+$P". |
Styles are looked up by the exact Result Attribute combination. See How a case is chosen.
Text Spawn Controller
One TextSpawnController_Single in the scene spawns and pools the texts: its Parent (a canvas RectTransform), Pool Size and Animators (one FeedbackAnimator per animation style, e.g. FeedbackAnimator_Slide with a FeedbackAnimation_Slide asset: Slide Amount, Slide Duration).
TextSpawnController_SplitScreen (3D sample expansions) renders the texts per split-screen camera and stacks texts from the same Actor spawned within Stack Window seconds by Stack Offset, so simultaneous numbers don't overlap.
Examples
| Goal | Setup |
|---|---|
| Red damage numbers, green heals, big yellow crits | BSFeedback_TextSpawner_Float in Process_Standard_Float's Feedback Processors. Health → Negative: None = red, Critical = yellow; Positive: None = green. |
| Dodged! when a hit misses | A Negative style for Missed with Use Formater and Format "Dodged". Blocked Effects still run Feedback. |
